The idea

Most note apps push you to organise before you think. Forge does the opposite: you drop raw fragments in, and the app helps them grow into ideas over time, without deciding for you.

Design rules

• The human is the thinker. The Owl only observes and suggests.
• A Spark only counts once you pin it yourself.
• Growth stays tentative, nothing is marked as final truth.

Stack

A Rails 8 monolith with PostgreSQL, Hotwire (Turbo and Stimulus), Tailwind and importmap. AI features sit behind a provider-agnostic layer.

What is next

A planned React + TypeScript + Vite interface talking to /api/v1, keeping the Rails domain and the current UI until the new one reaches parity.
